The Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa is a vibrant non-profit and membership based organisation that advocates on behalf of library and information professionals within the sector.

NZMS are long-time and dedicated supporters of LIANZA and the important work they do as the peak body advocating for the library sector in New Zealand. We were invited to attend our first LIANZA Conference in Wanganui in 1997 and were made so welcome that we never left. We have always loved working with libraries nationwide since 1990 and have built a strong partnership with LIANZA and an affinity with the sector we feel is mutually rewarding.  We are great fans of LIANZA’s advocacy and community engagement activities, including their Recollect site, which facilitates documenting and interacting around the history of their wonderful organisation and the activities within the library profession.
