ARANZ article

In a world of lots of acronyms one of my favourites is GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) and I love the fact that after 16 years in libraries that my current role at NZMS enables me to engage with the wider GLAM sector.  I was flattered when it was suggested that I write an article for the ARANZ (Archives and Records Association Of New Zealand) newsletter  - topic:  NZMS celebrating 20 years.  Then I had my ‘just a sec’ moment.  Not only was I a librarian writing for archivist, but I was also one of the newest NZMS staff members writing about the last 20 years.  In the end I used the article to share a selection of highlights from a NZMS tour and some ‘did you know?’ facts about the company.  To see how I did check out the June 2010 newsletter.
