National Operations Manager

NZMS is New Zealand’s leading digitisation and imaging bureau for cultural heritage materials such as photographs, manuscripts, publications, maps, works of art, and audio-visual records. We work primarily with galleries, libraries, archives, and museums throughout New Zealand but our clients also include government agencies, private companies, iwi, and individuals. We have offices in Wellington (2), Auckland, and Christchurch.

Recollect, our cloud-based community engagement platform (SaaS), hosts our customers’ cultural heritage digital reproductions and we have built up an enviable reputation in the market. To help us manage this growth we are looking for a National Operations Manager.

The Role

This role is responsible for leading, managing, and providing strategic direction for the national operations teams. It is a great opportunity for a talented and visionary operational leader who can help ensure NZMS’s future success within New Zealand. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will undertake a critical role in the business: engaging your teams to achieve excellence. Taking accountability for the day to day leadership of production across the country, you will be a passionate and inspiring leader who is able to get the very best out of people through excellent communication skills and best practice knowledge. You will be a creative problem solver who is able to deliver meaningful and tangible results that keenly drives productivity and efficiency across the business. This role will be based at our Head Office in Grenada North — but will require flexibility to travel throughout New Zealand.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years at senior level operations management
