Tyler’s focus as Business Development Manager is on sales and delivery of Recollect solutions for leading libraries, universities, and world-class digital archives throughout Australia and New Zealand. Drawing on a decade of experience in digital archiving and heritage research, Tyler brings together a strong understanding of the technological, cultural, and curatorial aspects of online collections development.
Starting his career in IBM’s New Products Division, Tyler later established a digital archiving department for filmmakers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, building advanced content management systems and contributing to internationally recognised documentary films, museum exhibitions, and journal publications. His work appears in cultural heritage attractions including the Australian War Memorial, the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, Wellington’s Great War Exhibition, and the NZ National Army Museum. He has also contributed to research presented in a host of publications, web sites, and film segments. Tyler uses this extensive digital heritage experience, combined with a penchant for cutting edge tech, to help lead cultural institutions to the next level of digital empowerment and engagement.
