The A0 book scanner SCAN MASTER 0 4838 is an alternative to the well-known SCAN MASTER 0 3650. With a scan orientation like the SCAN MASTER 2 and SCAN MASTER 1 scanning from back to front and vice versa, it achieves a higher productivity than the SCAN MASTER 0 3650. Moreover, the SCAN MASTER 0 4838 is upgradeable to robotic scanning. It can handle very large items with a motorised standard book cradle of 35 cm range.
All SMA scanners are equipped with a special LED light illuminator that does not produce any ultraviolet or infrared radiation. This means that harmless and uniform illumination is guaranteed. The illuminator of all SMA scanners is located inside the scan head and simply moves across the original. As a result, all SMA book scanners can be operated independently from ambient light and do not irritate the operator’s eyes.
